Welcome to KToshiba
KToshiba is an Fn-key monitoring for Toshiba laptops.
Features a Graphical User Interface (UI) highly integrated with KDE
a powerful Desktop Environment (DE).
All of these couldn't be done without the work of Jonathan Buzzard and John Belmonte for his contributions
to support Toshiba hardware under Linux.
Lets you configure the Fn-F# combinations with the supported options to let you have a complete
and fully customizable setup for your specific model, and lets you use those special multimedia
keys found on the front panel (prev, next, play/pause, stop), plus some others found on newer models.
It also features a configuration module available through the Control Center or directly from the
application panel menu.

is not as bad as I thought, it does has problems sometimes and it takes about 15 minutes to boot
but sometimes it works as new ;).
The good thing about this is that KToshiba development will continue until the HD is completely
unusable, wich at that point I'll be forced to get new one, but until that happens, "let the coding
2006-10-31 - Hard Drive Problems!
Last week my Hard Drive started making some strange and ugly noises wich caused it to
malfunction. The good thing is that I was able to access the drive contents and I'm now
in the process of backing up my data (50+ GB).
The bad thing is that KToshiba development will be suspended until I buy a new HD
(wich I hope to get it soon), everyone is encouraged to try out the sources from SVN,
specially the owners of Toshiba laptops with Phoenix BIOS so you can try the new Bluetooth
and WiFi support, and of course to report bugs and/or problems with the code, I'll try to
fix those problems as soon as I can, so don't wait and go get the SVN sources.
